Haworthiopsis limifolia (formerly Haworthia limifolia) is a small, slow-growing succulent native to southern Africa. It forms tight rosettes of firm, triangular, dark green leaves that are distinctly ridged or “corrugated” with raised horizontal bands, giving it a washboard-like texture—hence the common name Fairy’s Washboard. The leaves often have a slightly spiraled arrangement, adding to their unique sculptural appearance. In summer, it can produce slender flower stalks bearing small, tubular white flowers.
